How to use the dice roller

  1. Set the number of dice you want to throw, from 1 up to 100.
  2. Choose the sides per die: pick a preset (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 or d20) or select Custom and type any number of sides.
  3. Click Roll dice. Each die shows its own face value, and the total and the count rolled appear underneath.
  4. Hit Roll dice again any time for a fresh, independent throw.

There is nothing to install and no sign-up. Your rolls never leave your device, so it is ready whenever a physical die is not.

Fair dice rolls

Every die uses the browser random generator to land on a face. For a die with S sides the tool computes1 + floor(random × S), which spreads results evenly so each face from 1 to S is equally likely. There is no memory between throws, so a previous result has no bearing on the next one, exactly like shaking real dice in a cup. Roll two six-sided dice and you will see the same gentle bell-shaped spread of totals you would get on a tabletop, with 7 coming up more often than 2 or 12 simply because more combinations add up to it.

Because the work happens on your own device, the roller is instant and completely private. You can use it for board games, role-playing sessions, probability lessons, quick decisions or anything that needs an honest throw.

Dice types you can roll

The presets cover the standard polyhedral set used in tabletop gaming. A d6 is the familiar cube, while a d20 is the twenty-sided die at the heart of Dungeons and Dragons. Need something unusual? Choose Custom and enter any number of sides for a d3, a d100 percentile die or anything in between. Combine that with the number of dice and you can model almost any roll a game asks for.

Frequently asked questions

How many dice can I roll at once?

From 1 up to 100 dice in a single throw. Every die is rolled on its own and you get each result plus the combined total.

Can I roll a d20 or a d100?

Yes. Pick d20 from the presets, or choose Custom and enter 100 for a percentile die. Any whole number of sides from 2 upward works.

Are the rolls really random?

Each roll uses the browser built-in random source, so every face is equally likely and results are independent from one throw to the next.

Is my activity tracked or uploaded?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent to a server or stored anywhere.
